According to the Harvard Business Publishing site ("HBP"), Cookies are small text files that are downloaded to your browser when customers visit a Site. The cookies are a small file or a folder which consists of all information about the user's action on an advertiser website. Cookies store all the information about the user on the user's browser. It allows the advertising websites or businesses to identify the user and target them with relevant advertisements and allows them to control the number of times they see the advertisement which can eventually help in improving the user experience. These cookies include third parties that the company.

Generally, cookies are either optional or necessary. It allows the advertisement businesses to understand their customer or user and help them in providing a better experience. The Cookie never collects the sensitive data of the user such as passwords or any other sensitive data. In simple words, cookies are data storage.
